NOR1527
Norsonic Nor1527 Impedance Tube, 50-6400 Hz
The Norsonic Nor1527 impedance tube measures acoustic impedance, sound absorption coefficient and sound transmission loss from 50 Hz to 6400 Hz under room temperature and pressure. Two tubes are supplied: 100 mm for the 50-1600 Hz range and 30 mm for the 200-6400 Hz range. The system complies with ISO 10534-2 (transfer function method), ASTM E1050 and ASTM E2611 (four-pole transfer matrix method). It includes a 102.4 kS/s analyser with 100 dB dynamic range, GRAS measurement microphones (10 Hz to 20 kHz, 33-142 dB), a built-in 20 W power amplifier and a full-range 4 ohm loudspeaker. The software supports Johnson-Champoux-Allard-Lafarge material modelling, random-incidence absorption estimation, removal of tube attenuation, and export of poro-elastic material definitions to MSC Actran. The Nor1256 sound calibrator is available as an option. Placid Asia is the authorized Norsonic distributor for Thailand and ASEAN.
IMPEDANCE-TUBE
Impedance Tube (Kundt's Tube) ISO 10534-2
Impedance tube systems, also called Kundt's tubes, measure the normal-incidence sound absorption coefficient and the transmission loss of acoustic materials to ISO 10534-2 and ASTM E1050. Placid Asia supplies the PLACID Instruments tube set: PI8810, 100 mm, 50-1600 Hz; PI8803, 30 mm, 800-6400 Hz; and PI88016, 16 mm, 2500-10000 Hz, each with 1/4-inch measurement microphones, loudspeaker, signal generator, amplifier and a 4-channel DAQ. Laboratories that also need the four-pole transfer matrix method to ASTM E2611 can use the Norsonic Nor1527. Authorized distributor for Thailand and ASEAN.
HEMISPHERE
PLACID Hemisphere Array, ISO 3744 / 3745
The PLACID HM01 and HM02 are hemisphere microphone arrays for sound power determination to ISO 3744 and ISO 3745. They cover 3.15 Hz to 20 kHz over a 17 to 139 dB range with 50 mV/Pa microphones, and are supplied with 10 or 20 microphone positions on a hemisphere of 1000 to 2000 mm. Fixing the microphone positions mechanically removes the largest source of error in hemispherical sound power measurement and makes results repeatable between operators, which matters for product declaration and type testing. Placid Asia is the authorized distributor for Thailand and ASEAN.
