The PLACID PQ441-C is a four-channel signal conditioner and data acquisition unit for sound and vibration measurement. A signal conditioner supplies sensor power, sets gain and filters the signal before digitisation, which is what allows microphones, accelerometers and plain voltage sources to be mixed on one measurement without each needing its own front end. Four channels is the practical minimum for intensity probes, impedance tube work to ISO 10534-2 and small modal setups.
